the opportunity
Surfer Magazine, “the bible of surfing”, has shared the voices of surf culture in print since 1960 but what would it look like if Surfer’s Youtube channel became a place of storytelling at that same caliber.
the insight
Something felt new about the direction Vissla was taking surfing, from their team to what they stood for, the Creators & Innovators. We bottled that up and created a partnership between two influential voices of the sport to further the conversation and culture around surfing.
the solution
A video series, in partnership with Surfer and Vissla, that shared stories about people in surf culture at the present moment, The Now. We embraced a diverse cast of talent across 11-episodes and featured people pursuing their own path and showed how surfing, in one way or another, gave meaning, inspiration or identity to their lives.
